Most users of PURL in isave.DIALOG use templates with modules when they create their landing pages. This is an effective and easy way to create and modify content.
Isave AS offers basically two types of templates. There are some standard templates as part of our solution, or it can be fully customized templates. The same templates are often used on PURL and eDM.
Create a PURL template
1. Start by accessing isave.PURL.
2. Click the green plus icon.
3. Select “New Template” in the dropdown menu.
4. Enter a name for your new template.
Specifications for the template
1. On admin for the template, and under the tab settings – specifications, you put the code (not modules) and some other settings for the template.
2. Here it is possible to change the name and location of the template later if you wish.
3. Set the number of days the documents created from this template will “live”. It will then automatically delete old documents.
4. Choose who template will be availeble for. The options are that the template is visible to all users, selected departments / groups or just for administrators.
5. At the top right you can allow users to edit the same document, allow everyone to upload pictures, and provide access to any image that is uploaded in isave.FILES. Otherwise, you can control which image folders that should be connected to the template under the tab “Images”. Read more about this a little further down in the text.
6. In the fields from name and email you put who should be visible sender of the email.
7. Under module setup, click “edit” to determine which modules the template should have access to.
8. Under ”HTML template” you paste the code for your template. Normally you do the coding outside isave.DIALOG and then past what you need when you are finished. In the code for both template and modules there are variables that must be entered on images etc. This will allow it to be connected properly. List of all the variables.
9. Save when you’re done with all settings.
10. Under the tab ”availability” you can set the template to be unavailable or set an availability period.
Images in the PURL template
1. Under the tab ”images” you have to upload the template images.
2. Under images – image access you can check the folders that those who create documents in this template should have access to.
